I'm paying $900/month for a tiny residence hall room with a simple food plan and an annoying room mate, I think I'm paying WAAAY too much, but living in the dorms is obligatory the first two years, so I'm probably transfering because of this. I know people in other states who are paying as low as $400 /month with a room mate or two, but of course without a food plan, but that's still more convenient than me.

2200 per term for my on campus apartment... that's for sept oct nov and dec.. i have no meal plan.. but i buy my own groceries.. soo.. about 50 dollars a month on food, so another 200.. so 2400 per term.. which is 600 per month. four bedroom apartment with huge kitchen and huge living room.. and pretty big rooms. .. oh and a nice sized bathroom too. http://www.chrisnlinz.com/brockie04/index.htm for pictures...

around $3000 a semester for a double and 13 meals a week meal plan plus $165 entree plus money aka money for laundry and stores in the Union each semester

i don't spend a lot of money on food. i can type in everything on my reciepts if you really want to see :P i just got my credit card bill from last month and total money spent on food was 45 dollars. Normally i go shopping every other week and spend about 25 each time. It works out great :)

I thought I paid alot at Kent for $560 a month for a one bedroom apt. You guys are getting the shaft. That's why I never lived on campus beyond my first semester.

Me and my mom haved shared a two bedroom apartment ever since my parents split up. Cost is $415/month with all utilities except electricity included. She pays for the apartment and I pay my own tuition so it works out. I live 20 miles away from my school. During a summer internship me and my brother were charged a corporate rate for a fully furnished one bedroom apartment. A ridiculous $50/day. I won't do that again.

my mom was at some lecture about dorming. she thinks i should buy a small condo/house. then rent part of it out to pay for the utilities. when i graduate, we then sell the house. wouldn't that be like living there for free?

Boston University...almost $10,000 per year for a standard double room and a 14 meal per week meal plan. A bargain compared to the costs of off campus housing in Boston.

I have a cousin who will be getting a football scholarship and his dad is thinking about buying a small house in the area....for him small = $200,000. I don't know if my cousin will live in it during the school year or if its for his parents to use when going to his football games.
