How much can a C hurt you?

Ok I'm a junior in HS. I always gotten A and B honor roll until my Junior year...I have a C in Chemistry honors for the first semester. In my freshman year, I got honor roll in all college prep classes, my overall GPA was 3.7. My sophomore year I had 1 honor class and averaged a 3.8 gpa for the year. Now my Junior year I'm in all honors but have a C in Chemistry, and my GPA is now 3.7...

My EC's are Key Club, NHS, Marching Band, VA Wind Ensemble, HS Wind Ensemble, Spanish Club, Tri-Musical Honor Society, 200 hours of community service, and I even held a job for 2 years. I just want grades good enough go to colleges like James Madison University or Virginia Tech.

It’s not going to ruin your chances of admission completely, but it would be best if you could bring it up if at all possible. Especially for colleges like Virginia Tech, which are very numbers oriented and are becoming increasingly more difficult to get into.
