For our schools science course timeline, Chemistry is a prerequisite for AP Bio (apparently there's a little Chem in it?). I am planning on taking Honors Chem over the summer (condensed material, year of work in a little less than a month) for my HS sophomore science credit. Since the curriculum will be so fast paced, I probably won't remember most of it by junior year, when I'm planning on taking AP Biology. How much chemistry is in AP Biology, and do you think not remembering much of standard Chemistry will be a disadvantage?

Bump!

10char

You’ll be fine, the chem from what I know is minimal and can be picked up easily by yourself if need be.

Thanks, that’s a relief

The only chem you would need to know you would get from bio 1. You need to know the cycles and processes thats pretty much it

I took AP Bio as a sophomore without having learned any significant amount of chemistry before that, and I was fine.
