How much clothing should I bring?

I've seen numerous post on WHAT TYPE of clothing to pack for boarding school, but none on how much I should bring.
I know I need dresses, sweats, blazers etc. But can anyone tell me a ballpark ammount on how manny blazers. dresses, sweat pants etc. I need. Right now I dont have many clothes, and the wearable ones I do have Are hand-me-downs and things I made for myself using old un-warable clothes. Do people generally have massive wardrobes? or will I be olay with say 4 or 5 pairs of jeans?
Thx in advance!!!!

Dazz :)

p.s. There's a formal dresscode at my school, but that's only in class. Most students change after classes.

hey...ok first of all where r u going and how far away do u live from the school??? i can try to answer after knowing this info....but then again im not a student yet....but ive talked to some.....btw im going to choate

Asheville School in Asheville NC

I live about 4 hours away, but frequent trips home are probably not going to happen due to lack of fuel-efficient car.

ok so u need to pack enough clothes to last u til ur first weekend home/vacation....which im guessing is thanksgiving

and here we go.....

I generally do laundry every two weeks. That seems about the norm for the girls that do their own laundry. You can usually get away with wearing pants (especially jeans) a couple times before washing them, so I have a lot more shirts. One or two formal dresses is fine since girls tend to borrow a lot.

The funster recommends lots of underwear and since he's the funster he further recommends underwear that's funtowear!

Thanks, I'll be here all night. Tip your waiters and try the veal.

Hahaha...what!? Try the veal!! How 'bout we save those pour lil' guys and eat some...hm, idk, salad? Ew, I don't even eat salad...wow.
