how much coffee or energy drinks do you busy people drink

each day?

because i never drink any of that, but i think i'm going to need to get into the habit of it ahah. =)

It depends.

I drink sodas with caffeine in them. And if I'm in desperately bad shape, I'll drink some of my dad's coffee in the morning.

I go to Starbucks maybe once every 2 weeks or so, and once in a while I'll do an energy drink.

But I'm a morning person though. :)

your body is actually better off without large amounts of caffeine, 200-300mg a day will get you "addicted" making it harder to function should you not get nay

Mostly I drink water, but I drink lots of Vitamin Waters (the colored, nutritious and delicious ones), and I hate the taste of anything carbonated.

And I believe that coffee is a horrible, vile, disgusting, bitter slime the likes of which I cannot understand that adults like to drink.

That's interesting, kjsdude...I drink way more than 300mg a day, and I've had days where I didn't have any and I was perfectly fine.

True, but your also a morning person, adding to the list of about 20 high school students i know who are, but i have another question, have you tried to quit? i have a friend who drank as much as you did and she would shake when she didnt get any for the third day in a row

Yup :) I had to quit when I got braces. And I was fine. I had a headache for about 20 minutes one day, but that's normal for me...I get chronic migraines (and I've asked my doctor and she says it's not because of the caffeine, it's something to do with the way my eyes work or something ((I have a lazy eye))).

None, actually. When I was in high school, I rarely drank coffee to stay awake (one reason was that the nearest Dunkin' Donuts was on the other side of town, while the high school was in the middle, and I would never get up early enough anyway). When I do drink coffee, the effects don't seem very noticeable.

I also didn't need it as much because the latest I went to sleep was probably 1:30, so no all-nighters or anything.

But towards the end of my senior year, I got burned out with AP tests and homework. Quite often, I'd make it through the school day only to go home and take one to three hour naps.

I don't usually drink those sort of things. It's sometimes hard for me to get up in the morning, but once I'm up and working, it's not hard for me to stay awake - during school, at least. Sometimes when I go home, I'm really tired, but not usually. If I have something to do, I'll be able to stay awake.

Those drinks never work on me for some reason. But French Vanilla ice cream makes me hyper...

Coffee and Energy Drinks are like treats for me, I don't have them everyday, maybe once a week or less. I do have about a cup of soda a day though, but not for energy.

i love the smell of fresh coffee in the morning - the sound of the coffee maker and the scent of fresh ground coffee at my grandparents house always gets me out of bed. BUT, for me, that wonderful smell doesn't become a wonderful taste, because i HATE the taste of coffee. sometimes i wish i could drink coffee as amazing as the smell, but the taste never lives up to its scent, unfortunately.

anyway, i never drink any energy drinks (except for gatorade occasionally) because i'm too scared i'll become dependent on them. after having a middle school science teacher who went through about 5 cups of coffee before 1st period, i realized it's not such a good habit to have.

also, since i became a health-nut, i canceled soda out (except for with pizza, the one exception), so now the only time i get much caffeine is from chai tea, which i LOVEEEEE.

so basically, i power my late-night studying and early-morning wakeups with, well, nothing really except for food.

None...ever.

I don't drink coffee, and I only drink soda at parties and stuff... not to keep awake.

Zero /weeeeeeeeeeeeee!/

I almost never drink coffee or energy drinks. A cold glass of apple juice does the job for me.

I don't drink soda, coffee, or energy drinks. I had ONE sip of an energy drink while I was at Relay For Life, because we were supposed to stay awake all night, and I needed a little assistance. :)

I don't drink coffee, energy drinks, or soda. They're too unhealthy.

I just drink either water, milk, or aome type of juice

Considering the huge amounts of bad food I eat, I try to balance my stomach by drinking haelthy lmao :)

I'm usually good on one or two cups of nice and black coffee a day, plus an appropriate soft drink a few times a week at night.

If you want energy, you'll need to try sleeping through the whole night. I think that makes a big difference. Take some allergy pills if you have trouble, since that's one of the main reasons for insomnia and they'll make you drowsy in general.

I don't do energy drinks. I don't want to get the heebie jeebies every time I take a sip, so I just avoid those.

Milk+Gatorade is all I need. The occasional water.
