Reason Im asking is I just got offered a volunteer position at my local Library(Its a huge building) teaching kids to read, reading to kids, organizing books for 2 hours a day Monday to Thursday and maybe 4 hours on Friday and Saturday.

Bump

.

I have about 100-150 hours of community service, and I’m hoping to get more. I think reading to children is a great idea… I wanted to at my local library this summer, but then they told me they had enough volunteers… screw them. But I am most likely going to volunteer to help raise money for a local children’s hospital, since they just e-mailed me back and said yes.

Take it! I’ve found volunteering is actually pretty fun.
I’m not sure how many hours I have exactly (I ought to get it in writing ) I volunteer a lot (2 hours every day 4-7 on a handful days) the summer never at the library, so I’m jealous.
Try and volunteer at a handful of places that way you don’t focus all of your effort on one.

I don’t know if you mean altogether or just recently but side freshman year I would say I have near 300 hours of community service. Currently I’m getting hours from my church’s VBS. I’m getting about 30 hours from that. In July I’m planning to stay volunteering at an animal shelter. The rest of my hours are from my youth group. We go to nursing homes and hold church functions.
