With Stanford's 2009-2010 Cost of Attendance at 54k a year, how much debt are you planning on going into to pay for it? Current and past students, how much debt are you/did you take, and do you feel it's worth it?

i think i’ll be debt-free.

gotta love stanford financial aid.

^ me too
LOL

My parents are gonna end up 100k in debt and I’ll have 27k if that doesn’t get paid off by outside scholarships. No aid in my income bracket and my parents don’t have lots of money to throw around. =/

if your parents don’t have a lot of money to throw around, why is there no aid?

real estate? stocks/bonds/company holdings?

this isn’t meant to sound sarcastic. im just curious because i received so much aid i wasnt expecting.

We have 300k gross income due to a military housing/food allowance + both my parents incomes. We’re paying off loans on a lot of other crap though and we have a house in San Diego we couldn’t sell and we lose 3,000 a month on it. Aid is very income based =/

$50k for grad school. awesome.

I’ll be debt-free. Great financial aid!

My family only has to pay roughly 10k a year. So any debt I’ll incur will be minimal.
