$83 per AP test

we get to take them for free in charlotte-meck schools

In PA is there anyway to get reduced exam costs because I am taking 6 and it's a financial burden

$83 per test

They're $75 per test at my school (SW Florida) - but you get the money back for each test you pass. Apparently our school/district gets $ (from the state) for each AP test a student passes (or something?), and refunds are an incentive to pass I guess.

$86 for each.

They were around $80-90 last year, but this year the price for each test was dropped to a little over $50 because the tax payers are helping us out now.

ours is free as long as u don't fail the class when test day comes

bookwormgirl, MI does not pay for AP tests. Your district must do that on its own. The $15 fee for NOT testing is a bit unique!

I believe $82 per test
And buy 3, get 1 free

$83 per test.

Kind of stinks when you are taking 5 or 6.

$0, but if you don't show up or fail the class - $86

Yay Georgia!

Oh, I guess you're right kelsmom, my mistake. But as for the $15, if you have the class but choose not to take the test, they want some of their money back. Thank goodness the district pays for them, because I would not have been able to afford taking multiple tests!

bookwormgirl, is it if you take the class at all that you must pay $15, or only if you sign up for the test? Because if it's the latter, that is exactly how my school does it, but if the former, it seems strange that they would want money, because they wouldn't be ordering a test for you in the first place. (Or perhaps the sign up is not an AP thing, just something at my school, to make sure they get everyone who wants to take an exam right, and at your school, they simply order a test for every student enrolled in the class...)

$80 something.....Man..I want it for FREE!!

No kidding! D took 5 AP classes this year, and the school rule is that you must take exam if you take class. So, $450 or so later ...

and she can use some of the classes at her college, but it's not like we'll pay less in the end. She'll just be able to skip those classes & take others.

$56. (10 char)

The exams are free where I go to school; however, we have a lot of kids that take AP classes just for the title because they have been classified "AIG" [Academically/Intellectually Gifted] since birth and sit through the test sleeping. I wish my school would make you pay for it if you don't take it/try. It's a waste of our tax funds for lazy students.

Free, because we live in Florida!

$83, though $5 for reduced.
