Were you charged more than the standard fee of $86 per AP exam?

Apparently schools have leeway in deciding how much they charge. How much were you charged?

This year it’s $125 per.

It’s that much at your school? That’s insane.

mine was 86 this yr!

I didn’t know they could charge extra! We pay $86, but the school covers calculus since it’s unavoidable in some schedules (accelerated math from middle school).

Yeah, they can. I called College Board to ask if my school was acting irresponsibly by charging extra but they said no.

$0

tenchar

86 BUCKS 2 much

@SeekingUni

I envy you.

Come to Florida! :p

They used to charge us $90 per test but they cut it down this year to $86. It saved me $16, so I’m happy.

I’m lucky. I only have to pay $10 per exam!

My school’s policy is that you pay 86 for the first one, then they cover the additional tests you take. This year I paid 86 for 5 exams.

My school starts with $92 if you take one exam, but they add on $2 for the second test, $4 for the third, and so on.

It looks like this: 3 tests = $92+$94+$96

Pretty lame…

86 but I paid 106 for the lit test because I registered late (like March 15)… and I ended up not taking the lit exam anyways…

wow seekingUni… you are lucky
I’m going to have to spend $2150
:(

Wow! If I wasn’t lucky enough to live in Florida, I’d probably not be able to take any AP classes or exams. Can’t afford these ridiculous fees.

All of my AP Exams are free. In fact, they encourage everyone in the class to take the exams.

LOL we are REQUIRED to take the exam if we take the class. Otherwise we don’t get AP credit GPA-wise.

$125 per exam
