Hello. This is my first post by the way.
I recently had an interview for a school I am very interested in. During the interview I talked a lot and was able to answer every question. I was at an all girls school and said that it was hard for a woman to succeed in this world due to misogyny and sexism and my interviewer kind of laughed and said "no it's not." I gave my interviewer (who is an admissions counselor) my resume even though she didn't ask for it. I showed her pages from the school newspaper I worked on to show the effort I put into my ECs. I asked several questions about the college. I was dressed very nice but because of the rain my hair got a little messed up and my clothes may have got sweat on them.
After the interview, I sent a very nice thank-you email. The interviewer gave me a one word response of "I'm glad you had a good visit!"
I'm very worried. This college is one of my top choices. I have an above average SAT and GPA for this college, but I'm worried I seemed to enthusiastic or nervous in my interview. Will this impact my chances?

No need to be worried. Interviewers worth their salt should not convey undue enthusiasm or disapproval. You sound like you did just fine. Plus, interviews are mostly to determine if you’re nuts or not…

I tell students that as long as they don’t reach across the table and stab me with my own pen, it’ll be a successful interview – they nervously laugh when i say that! LOL

An interview will neither be the reason an otherwise excellent applicant gets rejected nor be the reason why an otherwise unreasonable applicant gets accepted. It can be everything in between.
