How much do I need to memorize for SAT Chemistry...*and other things to be asked*?

@1618dz You’re trolling right? Please tell me that you are… JUST ENJOY HIGH SCHOOL!!! Don’t focus so much on test scores. In fact, being perfect is detrimental. Admissions officers will think you are test score crazy if you are. If you think about it, nothing is “perfect”. Not even circles are perfectly circular. Instead, you should focus on doing what you love and excelling at those things. Test scores are only a way of determining if one is academically fit for the school. Yes, test scores are important. However, colleges are more interested in building a well rounded class that isn’t just good at academics but can also do things outside of the classroom. Listen to what @Faultystart says.

Ok. I agree with you. I’m just worried about this test because I’m not sure if I made a lot of careless mistakes. I feel that everyone can agree that nothing is “perfect”. However, I’m not talking about being perfect. For SAT II Chemistry, I want at least a 740 if possible. Also, I care so much about test scores because I don’t have a sport and don’t currently hold leadership positions in the clubs I’m in. I have done community service and plan on doing more, but I’m going to rely on my test scores. Unless if pen spinning counts as something colleges would be interested in…lol? :frowning:

@1618dz It’s never too late to start an EC! You don’t need to have a leadership position for an EC to be valuable either!

@1618dz Since you care so much about test scores, maybe that is your passion! You could be the founder of a standardized test club at your school and maybe hold seminars talking about how to improve scores.

I care a lot about test scores, but I don’t think it’s a passion. It’s a burden and necessity to care this much about them. I wanted to make a pen spinning club tho. However, I had to change it because…reasons. Here’s a video of some pen spinning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voqYX8_VjvQ

@1618dz pen spinning is fine. Its unique too. Maybe write that a part of what you teach is how pen spinning correlates to doing better in school. I know it works for me!

You pen spin? That’s cool! I unfortunately can’t do all the tricks in that video…

nor can I. But that’s why we have class.

OMG @1618dz ! I was just reading this conversation and i’m like " WTH!??" . DUDE! You’re just a kid (no offense)!!
You have SOOO much more time!!! Man… to think of what I was doing last year. Like going out with my friends and stuff. I didn’t give a sh** about SATs back then! XD

Look at you! You have ONE MORE YEAR!!! 365 days!!! A lot can be done in that time!! A LOT! Trust me.

Like @TheTennisNinja said, colleges look for all-round performance. Extra curriculars are what really differentiate you from the others. That’s what makes the difference at the end!

So just chill!! Don’t keep stressing on your scores. You have the capability and the time. Work on your weaknesses and strengthen your strengths. Take the tests again. Keep practising and don’t quit.

AND JUST CALM DOWWWNNNN!!!
