<p>That is why some colleges think senior year is a better predictor. My D seems to pull straight As despite the fact everything is harder and she spends more times for her EC per week. I think she is maturing.</p>
<p>but some honors and CP classes don't seem to prepare enough for the AP classes that come senior year, and that really isn't in my control...</p>
<p>Understand. My advice is to do the best you can. D has mostly all APs, but she is much better in time management this year.</p>
<p>This 1st quarter of my senior year, I obtained the highest GPA of my high school career by 0.2. I have maintained the rigor of my schedule. This obviously can't hurt... but will it help me?</p>
<p>It might help in borderline case. First semester grade is not available until Jan-Feb time frame. A lot of schools/colleges have deadline around Jan 1.</p>
