I was just thinking about this the other day: How much do you think it would cost in donations to reserve your kid a spot at a top 25 school? You could say it like this...

50k for georgetown

100k for Brown

At least a million at any decent school. My parents fund raise for Dartmouth, you are over 7 figures before they take you seriously.

Actually, more like $10 million for any to buy part of a building.

I know a case where $1million bought an acceptance for a niece.

fiddy cent for harvard

id prob say much more then 10 grand each year since your kid was born

id say 500k would get u into gtown....their endowment is only 660 mil lol

Duke said in a New York Times article that it requires a $250K donation.

The real question is, how much would it take to buy their love back once they realize what you did?

ahaha...ahh 250 bones, thats chump change

aaha NOT!

That question suggests a far too simplistic picture of donating; some individuals do not donate with the intent of reserving a place for their child, but rather do so because they have a personal interest in the intellectual development of a particular school. These interests can be obtained from one's academic relations, to mere affection for higher education, and so on.

i bet i can guess which type of individuals there are more of though ;)

Keep quessing. I do not intend on having children, but would be more than happy to donate...
...if I were to earn that much money in the first place.

yea really...heres my order of priority...

family, big house, kicka$$ rides, (insert more selfish stuff in here), college donating

Duke wants $250,000 and they let you in without question? I doubt it. I bet they want $250,000 a year. hahaha

Doogie we think a lot a like.

we are intelligent...thats why, see what harvard is missing out on
