how much EFC and aid should i expect?

i have yet to fill out the FAFSA but i was wondering how much i should expect my EFC to be.
my family lives in Korea and the USA. my dad works in korea, while the rest of my family (me, my sister, my mom) live here. My dad is the primary income of the family, so when you transfer korean money (won) to american money (dollars), he makes about $75,000 a year AT MOST. My mom has a part time job and at the most would add about $9000 to that. Since i have a family of 4 and my dad has to support two different households in two different countries, how much should i expect my EFC and any aid that i receive to be?

i have applied to mainly private schools that give generous aid, along with my 3 state schools (UVA, W&M, VTech)

and FYI, my parents are NOT divorced/separated.

thanks!

There's a financial aid estimator that you can link to from CC's home page.
Your aid, however, will also depend upon what percentage of demonstrated need the colleges provide. Some colleges provide only 60-80% of one's demonstrated financial need.

Whether you're a U.S. citizen also will matter. Depending on the colleges, your desireability as an applicant may matter.

Check each college's "common data set" (which you often can find by plugging the college name and "common data set" into Google) to find out what percentage of financial need the college normally meets and how the college normally meets that need (loans, grants, work study, etc.).

Also check the colleges' financial aid web pages for info.

Since your situation is unusually complicated, you also should talk to the colleges' financial aid officers.

oh i am a US citizen (i was born here)
