How Much Harder With 11th Grade Be?

So this year I’ve taken:
Regular English
Regular Geometry
Regular French 2
Auto Shop
Intro to Business
Honors Chemistry

Next year I’m taking:
AP US History
AP English Language
Honors Algebra 2
Honors French 3
AP Environmental Science
AP Psychology
Honors Personal Finance

I’ve gotten straight A’s freshman and sophomore year very easily. I’ve had basically no homework. I know I can handle honors because I’ve taken honors bio and AP Human and got 100 in both easily. I’m not concerned about the difficulty as much as the work. My guidance counselor and teachers told me I’m basically wasting my time with the regular classes. I am just curious how much homework I will have. I am committed to doing this because I really want to get into Vandy, but I’ve just never had to put any effort towards school.

If you want to get into Vandy, you need to challenge yourself some more. Taking regular level classes for the straight A’s won’t help you with college admissions. To answer your question: there will be more homework than before.

Just saying, APUSH and AP Lang are said to be very hard, much harder than APHUGE. Also, I think going from no homework to four AP classes is a bit much but if you think you can do it then good luck!

Junior year was the hardest for both my sons.

Agree that 11th was hardest because students started looking ahead to college and tests and started sorting into selection and level of classes.
