How much higher does my SAT need to be to get into UVA with my stats???

Statistics:
Male, 17
Public School, Texas
GPA: 4.5
Class Rank: (15-17) out of 385 (Top 5%)
SAT I 1770 (M-590 R-590 W-590 essay 11) I know it's horrible. I just want to know how much higher you think I need to raise it to have a decent shot at getting into UVA. I know the median range for SAT is 1830-2100 or so. But do you think if I raised it 100 or so points I would have a decent shot with my stats or do you think more like 200?
AP Tests (AP English 4, AP US History 4)

Senior Class Schedule:
-AP Statistics
-AP Psychology
-AP Biology
-AP Gov. and Econ
-AP English IV
-Mentors
-Speech, possibly debate
(I also have 2 dismiss periods, do you think that colleges will think I am slacking even though I am taking 6 AP courses?)

EC's
-Junior and Senior Vice President
-National Honor Society
-Varsity Golf 3 years (Regional Qualifier finished 8th out of 180)
-UIL Current Events
-Boys State
-Student Council 3yrs
-Multicultural Club Treasurer 2yrs
(What more do you think I need to qualify as someone with solid EC's? There are more little misc. clubs that I am a member of but honestly they aren't that important to me and I know colleges can see that.)

Work Experience
-Grocery Store checkout
-Internship at Perfection Crane and Hoist (This type of work really has nothing to do with my intended major so I don't know if it will hurt or help me?)
-I also have roughly 200+ community service hours at a local Hospital

Side Notes
-I know that a big part of the UVA application and selection process is centered around the essays. This is one of my greatest strengths. I believe that I will be able to effectivley "craft" a series of essays that will vicariously manifest my personality in a light that would be benifitial to society and the University of Virginia.
-I also have great interest in politics, sociology, and economics and one of my essays will most certainly highlight my vast range of insightfull experiences at Boys State/
-Another one of my essays will highlight an experience that i am going through right at this moment in which I have helped my father's cousin deal with the profound stress both mentally and physically which involves a land and company dispute spearheaded by his own son.
-I know that my SAT score is not very good at all you don't to tell me simply (well if you want to have a chance you've gotta raise it at least 150-200 pts) I want more input at that. Take my profile as a whole and attack it like a true admissions staff at UVA. Do you really think that that one attribute could hurt me that bad? If so be honest.
-Also what would I have to do to even consider applying to U Chicago, and Washington University St. Louis?

I would truly appreciate your honest and constructive feedback
-Thank You

I'm guessing that raising the CR to around 620 and the M to around 650 is all you would need. (Virginia doesn't use the Writing score).

This means you only need about 90 more points on the SAT (as long as they are in the right areas).

You have a really good GPA, great courseload, good ECs, and can write a great essay. With this in mind, it doesn't take so much more to qualify.

Best of success.

I got rejected by UVA with a 2260 and 4s and 5s on my APs. UVA OOS is extremely difficult to get in, so I think you should boost your SAT score to at least 2000.

My mistake--I didn't realize you were OOS---in that case you will need about 170 more points--about a 660 CR and a 690 M.

I see now that you said you are from Texas.

(Excuse me, but I was at an event earlier today sending off my next door neighbor's son who is shipping out to Iraq (in the marines)--so I'm not totally focused I guess).
