I wrote my college application essay 4 hours before the submission deadline. Now you can imagine what kind of procastinator I am....

i wrote in 2 hrs before..... some ppl i noe wrote over 10 appl the nite b4.

wow neha1 and i thought i was a procrastinator, it is nothing compared to the people you r talking about... they must have looked exactly like that...

Oh, and that's the school I'm going to. You can be sure that I'll be on their site at 11:59 tomorrow night puting down the deposit on my debit card.

I thought I'd being doing that too! I spent yesterday thinking about which school would be best and made my deposit. Good thing since when I inquired about mailing it it sounded like there might not be enough room even if i did by may 2!

lets just say that I was elected President of Procrastination.....no not really, but if you ask anyone that knows me who they think the worst procrastinator, they automatically say my name.......In fact, I am just starting my Senior Thesis, and I want to finish it fast, but knowing me, I will pull an all-nighter the day before its due, and not go to school that day in order to finish it, then go to school and turn it in 2 minutes before the bell rings...:-)

For all my college apps, they were all turned in the day of the deadline, and for my acceptance, I just mailed that yesterday....

and i totally agree w/ noFX.....most "smart" kids are procrastinators who are still able to do well in school because they are smart, and know what they are doing, and retain information more easily than others.....

For AP bio, which my class went through 1/2 the information of, I havn't started studying it yet, and I plan to do that this week sometime.....here I come Cliffs and PR!!

unfortunetely, im not smart, im average, but hey, thats ok with me.....

procrastination works great for me. It gives me a ton of free time. Because if im working on a project and have a lot of time, I will go really slow, which means a project that might take two hours.

If im up late the night before at midnight. I can do that same project in 15min. Thus better use of my time.

It is weird. Before high school I used to be a prude, and would always finish my homework the day we got it (block scheduling, so we literally had 2 days to do the homework assigned). I started to slack off in high school, doing homework the night before it was due (like freshman year). It progressed! I used to do my homework on the day it was due, and at one point in my sophomore year I started to do my homework the period before it was due! I don't know...it was kind of an adrenaline rush! Procrastination, believe it or not, is a lifestyle! I liked it, but hated it at the same time. It was scary, but I always got it done, which I think is ironic with procrastination! I'm currently back on the doing-my-homework-the-night-before system, and hope next year, my junior year, I can get back on the doing-my-homework-the-night-I get it system.

High School actually seems to be the point from where everyone starts to slack off..the same is in my case:D

Haha the guy who wrote 10 applications on Jan 1st actually got into whole lot of great schools, including ivies.

Deadline for application at UNC: jan 16. Dropped it off at the post office (closes at 430) at 416 on the 16th.
Deadline for acceptance reply: today. Just dropped it off (420...hehe).

lets just say that one of my favorite quotes is...

"I'll procrastinate tomorrow"

In the yearbook my quote was "procrastination=death"

I save studying for the days before the test...say i have 4 chapters to read in a textbook...i'll do them 2 days before the test...i can soak up pretty good

Essays kill me....i save em for the night before and end up goin to bed at about 5-7AM....10 page essay/1 night =

highschool i'd stall off work and then end up not doing it....study notes in the 5 minutes before class starts for a test! lunchtime = homeworktime :)

Procrastinate now. Don't put it off.

to some of us procrastination for studyin at times actually makes sense...say today is monday and u have a bio test on thurs... if i study for it today, i will forget all the details by wed n will have to study again so might as well do somethign else now and study b4 thurs rite???
common, i know most of u are like dat as well or worse, the free period b4 or bunking the period b4 to study..... :D

I study the period or hours before the test.

exactly neha!!!....my girlfriend yells at me, because i always save everything for last minute...but she just doens't understand that, even though it's easy to learn somethin....it's alot easier to forget :D

I think its funny that people are proud of their procrastination.

damn right i'm proud of it! :)...procrastinators unite!...sometime tomorrow

lol!!! ......... :D

Definately a really bad habit of mine. For instance, I have a paper due tom., and I'm suppose to be working on my science fair. Now I wonder, why am I on CC?
