how much should I write?

<p>On the CSS Profile app and some college financial aid app it asks for the amount of money estimated that your parents are willing to pay for college next year out of pocket. I'm wondering what's a reasonable range is, because my parents honestly don't know. Is it bad to write a really small number? And does it decrease financial aid if you write a big number? Thanks.</p>
