I've been studying for the ACT for about half a year now. Completely finished all of the Cracking the ACT, Red Book, and 1296 book for the practice tests, but haven't had any tutoring. Took the ACT twice, got 31 on both (32 superscored).

Main point is, I want to get a 32 or a 33. I feel like those extra 2 or 3 questions that bumps me up 1 number score is just luck in guessing. How much practice is really needed before the diminishing returns negates the benefits?

P.S. I only got a 188 on my 2nd PSAT so I don't even want to bother with the SAT at this point.

oh wow you are dedicated.

I told myself I’d study everyday for the past 2 months and i only studied a total of 8-12 days. I started going hard today by taking an official red book test, previously ive been using 1296 PR.

Ive only done 2 sections of 1 test so far, Reading and English, 30 and 29, respectively.

Your 6 month practice, if consistent with the scores you’ve supplied seems great.

Youre definitely on your way to a 32 and a 33 at most based on your practice.

As for me, I have to do a lot of studying in the next 4-5 days.

Yeah, it’s just so much luck plays a factor since there are only 2 or 3 questions separating you from a 31 and a 32 :/
