How much well do Admissions officers weight E.C.'s

Hey everyone I am currently a Senior in Southern California. I have just been wondering about how well an admissions officer will be able to evaluate and weight a specific E.C. For instance, I play club soccer in the Coast Soccer Premier League, one of the top leagues in the state if not the country for it is just below professional academy teams and National Team. I am not good enough to be recruited by the D 1 schools I want to do to Academically, may be able to play at at a D2 or D3. My question is will the admissions officer see how much effort and committment it has taken to get to this level, detracting from time I could have doing other things to fill application, or will they simply see it as club soccer x amount of honors participated for x amount of years.

Maybe really emphasize soccer by listing it as your most important activity in the corresponding section on your applications (definitely indicating the time spent in the rime field) and maybe even write your essay about it if you’re that passionate. I’m not sure how this would go I’d you aren’t being recruited, however.

Yeah I will do that, I’m not going to write the essay though have another topic in mind but thank you. Yeah I thought about going down that path, but it would cost a lot of money just to go to an academically lacking school to play D3 soccer. I want to be the best player i can be but I also focus a lot on academics, and have no desire to go pro, but college would be fun. The reason I brought this up is because it is a huge time commitment and that may prevent me from having thousands of hours of volunteer or having a leadership position in 10 clubs.

Can anyone else give insight please?
