I am confused on how much it will cost me to go to FAU.

I am an out of state resident from Saint Louis Missouri.
I will obviously have to live on campus, in a learning living community.
I plan on taking 12 credit hours (maybe 15 id like to know the prices of both types.)

I am having a hard time figuring out the tuition per year, can someone help me?

Also does FAU give financial aid or student loans?

Thanks!

@Commander - here is the FAU cost of attendance. The tuition/fees is based 30 credit hours over two semesters. Obviously the personal expenses and transportation expenses depend greatly on the individual. Books can be purchased used from Half.com so that figure of $900 is probably double what you will actually spend on books.

The main expenses that you will have (and these figures are from this year - tuition and housing will probably increase some for 2012) are:

OOS Tuition: 19,715
Room/Board: 10,940

[FAU - Cost of Education 2010-2011](http://www.fau.edu/finaid/apply_aid/coe.php)

Financial Aid would be in the form of Pell Grants depending upon your family income. All students are eligible to take out student loans - currently the max is $5500 freshman year, $6500 sophomore year and $7500 for junior and senior year. You will have to complete the FAFSA early in 2012. Also you may be eligible for some type of scholarship.

If after Pell Grants and student loans, you still need additional money, your parents can take out a Parent Plus Loan up to the cost of attendance.

Hope this helps!
