My EFC is 0000, I live in Tennessee and my annual income is $21, 500.
Around how much could FAFSA cover?
I plan on attending Trevecca University, tuition there is $12,500 per semester.
The FAFSA is a free application for federal student aid. Students with a $0 EFC should receive the full ~$5900/year Pell grant. They can also take the ~$5500/year federal student loan. If tuition at Trevecca is $25k/year, the full cost of attendance would be ~$37k or more. Are you planning to commute? How will you pay the other ~$14k/year tuition?
I think you need a less costly option. The full Pell Grant, and the full freshman Direct Loan would total $11,400.
As a note…the FAFSA is a financial aid application form. The info determines your eligibility formfederally finded need based aid. The only guarantees for a $0 EFC student are noted already here.
Are you starting college this year? Or what??
Are you the student? Or a parent?
ETA…past threads indicate you had a perfect 1600 SAT score, and a 3.8 gpa. Did you get any additional merit aid from this college? Did you apply to colleges where you would have gotten a full tuition merit award, and your Direct Loan and Pell would have covered your room and board?
If not…why?
I am not a parent, it will be my first year, and I will not be living on campus but at home.
Pell next year is $6095. The school could also award you an SEOG based on your FAFSA.
Do you have HOPE or any other state aid?
When are you starting college? NOW? 2018…or some year later?
If 2018, have you received your full financial aid package from this college? Did you get any money in addition to the Pell Grant and Direct Loan?
Is that your parents income or yours???
How old are you?
Will you be living with your parents while you go to college?
What major and career goal?
