How much will research paper work?

Hello guys,
I just wanted to ask whether research paper is valued by admission officers of williams or not?

I am planning to send the one..Does sending research paper influence my probability to get accepted given that the research i am doing is a substantial one?

I want to hear from all of you! Thank you!!

I am in the same situation; interested to learn about this.

What would be the point? Do you really expect them to read it? Hopefully, it’s the sort of thing a teacher would mention in their recommendation. Also, I’d be careful about tempting fate: what a 17 y/o high school student might think of as “substantial” might not be what a Williams professor (to whom it would most likely be sent) thinks of as substantial.

My brother is pursuing major mathematics in Jacobs University Bremen. He as well as my high school teacher have approved my research paper.

So circuitrider, what can I do now?

Submitting extra material to an admissions cmte should always be approached with caution. A better idea might be to solicit a Williams professor on the side, maybe by e-mail. Ask them politely whether they would take a look at your paper.

I wouldn’t bother a professor with it. I do think it’s an appropriate question for an admissions officer and it can serve as a way of introducing yourself as well.

I would recommend that you put the abstract of your paper on the Additional Information section. Just make them aware that you have done this research and have made wonderful empirical conclusions without unnecessarily esoteric language.

And, there’s always the tried and true method of writing an essay on it. That, of course, begs the question how good a writer you are. Some schools devote entire courses to the art of writing for science: <a href=“P R I N T P A R M S P A G E”>Translating Science WRCT 220;

I am sending it as a optional material. Phantasmagoria18
