i wnat to major in molecular biology and biomedical engineering....OR biochemistry but i got a 540 on my chem sat2...that probably looks really bad but im hoping my 700,700,800 (other subjects) will offset it??

still how much will they take into account my major choice

Great question!!! im worried about htat also...personally, i think they will take it into account or else they wouldnt ask. Choosing a major is an important part of the app so theyll look over your application keeping in mind that youre a biomedical engineer(thats def competitive also)

Michigan does not care about SAT IIs. Do not send your SAT II scores.

I am also pretty sure that Michigan does not really pay attention to your listed major...unless you pick Pre-Med. Otherwise, whether you say Chemistry, Math or Economics shouldn't really make too much of a difference. Obviously, you have to pick between the school of Engineering and the school of LSA, but once that is done, the actual major you list as your first choice will not really impact your chances.
