How much would a significant change in SAT (1250->1500) help in sophomore year transfer admissions?

Title.
I am currently hoping to transfer to some pretty selective private colleges (Macalester, BC, BU, Haverford, Hamilton, perhaps even ND) My profile is essentially: Low income white male, COMMUNITY COLLEGE 4.0, 3.5 high school GPA, next to no extra curriculars, some AP classes, and lots of part time jobs. My letters of rec and essays will be fine, but nothing groundbreaking.

I am wondering if this kind of change in SAT scores would seriously help my transfer application, especially since I am transferring for sophomore year and my high school record will still be a serious consideration. I am hoping to meet the deadline for fall admission, meaning I only have a few months left to retake the SAT. However, I am confident I can raise my score to a 1500. On my first and only attempt, I scored a 750 reading/500 math without studying, so I am confident I can make the progress required. My question is simply: would it be worth it or not, especially since I would be applying to these schools near the march transfer deadlines.

You can check each target college (web page or ask directly) to see if:

A. They use SAT or ACT scores for transfer applicants.
B. They accept SAT or ACT scores from after high school graduation.

It never hurts, if you have time to burn, I don’t see why not. It won’t hurt you unless this is like your 4th time taking it.

Few colleges use SAT scores for transfer applicants so first thing would be to check whether they accept/need those.

The SAT is an exam meant for HS students. A higher score on a test taken as a college student is unlikely to impress admissions officers.

In addition many colleges do not accept SAT tests taken after HS. Have you researched this question as posters have recommended on your prior post?
