How necessary are the SAT IIs for JHU?

So I bombed by subject tests, mostly because I didn’t really have time to study and I put it off until senior year. (640 Bio E, 700 Lit, and 670 Math 2)

Luckily a lot of the other schools I am applying to allow ACT instead of subject tests, and I managed to get a 32 (retaking and hoping for a 33/34) so I won’t be submitting my subject test scores.

I know JHU strongly suggests 3 SAT IIs, but how much will it hurt if I don’t send them? Or should I bite the bullet and send under-par scores? Taking them in January isn’t an option for me. :frowning:

If I were you, I would not send them in. Your scores are not absolutely terrible, but unless they are 700+ it would be not be helpful. It will not hurt you to leave them out.

I’d not send them but they do reinforce a pattern of not attending to classes at a level necessary to nail them. And that will probably be a liability.
