How necessary is Spanish IV (4)

I have taken Spanish since 7th grade. I took Spanish II as a freshman. Im a sophomore right now and currently taking Spanish III. Is that good or should i go on to Spanish 4

yes

Personally, I would continue through Spanish throughout the rest of high school. However, if you have met your school’s foreign language requirements, I suppose you could stop with Spanish now. I recommend that you at least go on until Spanish IV, especially if it’s normal to do so at your school.

I would continue and take Spanish IV. Most colleges expect to see at least 3 years, but they want to see 4 years, especially top competitive colleges.

I think you should take Spanish IV next year for sure, even if you already surpassed the world language requirement. 4 years of a language looks really good on an application. If there are no more Spanish classes after 4 then you can possibly start another language for junior and senior year. That’s what a lot of the kids at my school do.

All right, thx for the replies everyone
