How Not To Burn Out?

I just transferred to a University (UNC at Chapel Hill). It was exciting at first, but now it seems everyone remains very enthusiastic about the same stuff everyday. I don't know how many times I hear people talking about a paper they just wrote, or their exam coming up.

I am seriously becoming numb to the monotony of life here. I respect the dedication of the students here, but honestly I think they only know how to speak 2 sentences: I have a 10 page paper due tomorrow. I have to a get an A on this midterm.

Please let me breathe. There has to more to life than this. I need a break. Anyone feel me?

Honestly, not everyone has time for other things during the week. I had to drop a class because I had a 300-400 hundred pages of reading plus three papers due each week, and Spanish, and I’m still behind. You just have to prioritize and take breaks accordingly. Sometimes that means studying all day, missing parties on weekends to work, not sleeping very much, etc. It’s all part of college.

Have you joined any clubs/societies? They don’t only talk about grades and assignments in those, do they? If not, then give it a try.
