When I lived at home, I changed the sheets on my bed about every 2 weeks, sometimes once a week. Now that I'm at college I'm doing the same thing. People on my floor look at me like I'm crazy. My roommate hasn't changed her sheets since we moved in, like August 25th. I think it's gross to sleep on dirty month-old sheets, but that's just me.

I change mine every two weeks. Not changing your sheets is gross, plus you will end up ruining them eventually (sweat and stuff sets in and stains them).

I probably only change mine once a month. shrug If they looked, smelled, or felt dirty I would wash them sooner. They do get washed sooner if I am sick or something, whichcase the whole room gets a deep clean. That happens at least twice a semester so i suppose they get washed a bit more often than it would seem.

The washers in my dorm are so small that my bedding takes two loads all by itself, and we only have four washers in the building, so I just don’t have the time, money, or inclination to do that much laundry if my sheets don’t show any sign of being dirty. I would think my mother would have admonished me by now if there was anything wrong with them.

I shower at night so I’m not as dirty. I wash my sheets every midterm and term. Which, because I’m on trimesters, is every five weeks.

I hadn’t thought of that, I shower and dry my hair at night, too.

Gosh, if everyone posts saying they wash their sheets so much more often than me I’ll be mortified and will have to start washing them more! haha

Personally, I think it’s a lot more gross to only shower in the morning and change your sheets once every other week than to shower at night and change your sheets once a month. If I go one night without showering my bed always feels crazy gross the next night.

I don’t actually sleep in my sheets, so…I haven’t washed them yet. I do wash my pillow case and blankets regularly though. And I stick my comforter in the wash every once and a while…not too often though because it’s so big.

I shower at night about a half hour before bed and I change my sheets about once a month. Probably a little less, actually. But I’m not here on weekends so it’s not as bad.

I do change my pillow cover every two weeks though.

You have to change your sheets?

Seriously, I wash them about once a month.

I guess if you shower before bed it’s not too bad to go longer between sheet changes, but you still inevitably get sweat, dead skin cells, and other gross stuff on your sheets while you sleep. Especially right now since it’s still pretty hot out. Plus, showering in the morning is the only way I can wake up.

What I feel like when I shower in the morning I imagine is similar to how a cat feels when you throw it in a swimming pool. Plus, I am incapable of not sleeping in reliably enough to shower in the morning. Anything that MUST be done before I leave for class that will take longer than five minutes has to be done the night before. lol

My room is air conditioned and is freezing cold at night. I have like four blankets. I guess I just don’t care about filth I can’t perceive that doesn’t make me sick. Laundry is too expensive for that!

When they’re too stiffened from dried bodily fluids to sleep comfortably in.

But really, I live at my dad’s right now and he has hired muscle come in to clean the house, and that includes sheets. If I did it myself it’d probably be every two weeks.

I wash them every 2-3 weeks. I dont like to shower at night. I only do it if its necessary. But I HAVE to take a shower in the morning. I just cant conprehend how people, like my roomates, take a shower late at night but not in the morning. Even if I take a shower late at night, I still have to take one in the morning. Oh well, at least they shower ;)

I agree, I gotta do morning showers. I do enjoy the occasional evening bath though.

Me and my roommate both wash ours once or every other week.

I haven’t done clothes laundry in nearly two weeks now. You expect me to change my sheets more often than that? lol

Every month or month and a half for me. But I don’t sleep between my sheets- I sleep on top of the non-fitted one, under my comforter.
And I shower at night.

“I haven’t done clothes laundry in nearly two weeks now.”

eewww, do you have a ton of clothes or something?

Around once a month, when I go home.

That is disgusting.

"“I haven’t done clothes laundry in nearly two weeks now.”

eewww, do you have a ton of clothes or something?"

There’s nothing wrong with that. I just did laundry yesterday; it was three weeks worth of clothes and I still had enough clothes and underwear to last me another week. I only did it because I ran out of towels and the basket was full. (And yes, I wear a different shirt everyday.)
