<p>As a prospective economics majorer, I wish to get a more detailed insight towards the amount of number and quantative vigour in the Economics major? For those who are participating in this; are you struggling with the Mathematical content? If you are, how good would you say you were already at Math?</p>
<p>compared to other schools Id say that at Harvard it would be just about as much as anywhere else except for Chicago, which is notorious for having a VERY mathematically-centered department.</p>
<p>You need to be mathematically competent in order to pass the required classes, but if you're not a math person, you'll have a lot of freedom to choose the majority of your ec classes and avoid math-heavy ones. Ec kids who are really into quantitative stuff often major in applied math.</p>
