1.) No, not really. I think I use my pointer finger for more than I should I honestly dont even notice anymore.
2.) Yes, in elementary school our computer class had a lot to do with typing
3.) oh yes

1.) No
2.) Yes, they tried to force home row on me but I stayed vigilant and refused to comply.
3.) Yes.
4.) 155
1.) No. My fingers are too short to reach all of the keys theyāre supposed to reach. I have to pick up my hands a lot.
2.) In third-fifth grade I had to practice typing 20 minutes a day once a week. In the sixth grade I had to practice 45 minutes a day for a week.
3.) Yes, but not really doing stuff that requires fast typing. I do APCS assignments mostly, which require a lot of pausing and thinking.
4.) The best Iāve ever gotten was 40 WPMā¦so slow compared to all of you! I have arthritis so that probably slows me down. My hands ache after writing or typing for more than 20 minutes.
Yes
Yeah, I had a typing class when I was in 6th grade (pre-IB). I had a super strict teacher who was obsessed with proper posture while typing and made you take typing tests in the dark (using typewriters). I hated her at first but I grew to really appreciate her since she taught me life skills lol.
Kind of
82 wpm
1.) Home row and self-taught through Runescape
2.) Eh, not reallyā¦ Itās complicated, as I like to say.
3.) Yes, oh, my Godā¦ >_<ā¦ Iām thinking about self-teaching myself the piano, so that might be a bit healthier, lol.
4.) 137 WPM-ish with a loot of errors (adjusted to like 120, lolā¦ maybe itās the cold Minnesota weather and hands)
My typing speed unfortunatelly isnāt so good((
recently took a job at a publishing office, boss is extremely demanding, do not have any time. The Internet helps me. I Began to read interesting articles āhow to improve the typing speedā, here are some of them http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/faster-keyboard-typing/ , http://www.ratatype.com/learn/
now working on it

No
Yes, not a ton, but a fair amount, probably 2-3 hours per day (but I have online classes and do a lot of homework online, so itās not like Iām playing video games all day.)
80 WPM
It depends. I have a crappy keyboard. On the crappy one, I get about 75 words per minute, but Iāve hit well over 100 on better ones.
2.) Sort of. In elementary school I had to take some typing stuff, but it basically just meant they gave us some typing program and asked us to work on it. In 8th grade we had regular typing practice, but fortunately for me there wasnāt much emphasis on using the proper typing positions, since I was already a decent typer with improper form.
3.) Umm, yes, way too much time.
4.) I got 76 WPM the first time, 72 adjusted, but thatās slow for me. Second try was 88 WPM, 82 adjusted. Third try was 88 WPM and 80 adjusted. Iām still not too happy with that, but itās been awhile since Iāve tried to type fast. I donāt feel like I can think fast enough to type really fast, tbh. I checked my NitroType stats and it says average of 80 WPM and highest speed 95 WPM. Iām not sure how NitroType calculates it.
