How Represented are these?

Hi I am a very career oriented highschool senior looking at the following schools:
1.Bentley University
2.Penn State University
3.New York University

I am just wondering how represented these schools are for Investment Banking. If they are not what GPA/internships/etc, would make me a good candidate for investment baking firms.

I’m not a big time IB guy or anything, though I surf this forum a lot. I’m pretty sure NYU get pretty good recruiting for IB.

NYU trumpts every other school you listed by a mile.

NYU is good, the others should not be in the same sentence.

Thank you, I have another question though, are boutique banks easier to get into more than Bulge Bracket banks

Again, coming from someone who just surfs this forum, boutique banks are often used by potential investment bankers as a stepping stone to get into the BB (i.e. if they didn’t get the initial job at the BB in the first place). So going by that, boutique banks are easier to get into than the BB.

Depends – some exceptions. The elite boutiques (Lazard, Evercore, Blackstone, Greenhill, Moelis, Centerview, Perella Weinberg) are equally hard if not harder (depending on which BB) to get into. Further, many non-elite boutiques, particularly the smaller ones, care a lot about fit, so you won’t get in unless they like you and can see you working with them.
