I do volunteering at the library in the summer. I am not old enough to volunteer at the hospital but will when I reach that age. I was thinking to volunteer at Give kids the world or something like that.

Currently by the look of my final grades: I have all A's. I was thinking to apply for Ivy League schools such as Princeton, maybe Harvard, Stanford, and Cornell. I know I have to work hard and I’m prepared to what ever it takes. I want to major in Science and was planning to become a doctor. If you have any advice, comments or anything on this schedule please post. Thank you.

I think you should take IB Mathematics if they offer it at your school, and do you mean AP Physics B? For that open spot, I’d recommend ITGS (if your school has it), it’s pretty useful :P.

Otherwise, I think it looks fine.

oh, yah they do offer IB mathematics but i was thinking standard level. Yah, they offer ITGS but I didn’t know it was useful. Thank you for your advice and comment. But do you think I can get into Harvard or any IVy League school, I mean I know my SAT is unknown by now.

It’s a reach, but it’s a reach for everyone :P. I’d recommend to boost your chances by getting a meaningful extracurricular, one that’s maybe out of the ordinary or one that you’re just passionate about. Just don’t make them dime-a-dozen ECs, the top colleges have seen them all because they’re, well, dime-a-dozen.

oh…k Thank you Anythingtosay.

I didn’t know AP courses were available in 8th grade.

I think your schedule is sufficiently rigorous. For your senior year, you will probably have a choice between two IB History classes (Topics of the 20th Century and Geography.) Take Topics; it’s the more challenging class, but, from what I’ve heard, not overwhelmingly so.

Take IB math courses if offered, but only if you think you can handle them. Your coursework is still strong without it. Your schedule will set you up for Ivy League applications, but won’t by any stretch set you apart or get you in. There are tons of kids with similar schedules, so by keeping your courses this rigorous, you are a competitive applicant- but then again, there are lots and lots of competitive applicants.

Best of luck; your schedule is similar to mind. It ain’t easy, I have to say.

Yah, I took it last year cause they offered it in my middle skool. I am going to think of taking the topics of the 20th century. I was worried it might be similar to other students, and you are right about how it ain’t easy. I am worried about how to set myself apart but I think I can find something.Thank you for your information and the wonderful adivce.:)

It’s definitely a rigorous schedule, but will you have time to have fun? You should make sure you enjoy high school; don’t just be a work horse.

theblusrstillblu, I have some time for fun and the classes I have, I am going to see the people I am going to enjoy the most with.:)
