Sophomore Schedule: Is It Good?

Hi everyone. Well, I am aiming for some of the top schools, and I was wondering if I could get some advice from everyone about the rigor of my schedule, and if it'll give me an edge when it comes to college apps time.

Well, here it is:

Sophomore Schedule

Pre-IB English 10
Pre-IB Comparative Government
IB Physics 1
IB Chemistry 1
IB Math SL 1
Spanish 3
Advanced Band

Thanks in advance for your comments!!!

Yes, it sounds good to me.

Oh, and is Pre-IB= honors? Is it actually called “Pre IB English”? Or is that just you putting that down.

Another question: Are you in the US? I never understood why some schools had IB instead of AP classes.

Looks good to me also!

Wow. I’m only a freshman with an easy courseload (at least last semester, where I achieved a 94 average in all regular classes). Now, though I’ve upgraded all my courses to honors. But wow, I mean Physics in 10th grade? Very respectable; likewise for Spanish 3. Good luck, you sound like the perfect potential Ivy league applicant!

Looks good. :)

Thanks guys. And Beautifulnights, Pre-IB is the actual name for the course, and it is equivalent to an honors course in the AP program. And no, I am a United States resident. The IB program is offered in about half the schools in my county; however, it isn’t as popular as the Advanced Placement program in other parts of the state, and most likely throughout the country.

I think it is rigorous.

average (for top college applying students)
