How Schools Notify Applicants

@prepschoolhopes Please update!

Does Deerfield come at 7am or 7pm?

On the spreadsheet it says “comes after 7.” But which 7 o clock?

AM.

Ok, thanks mrnephew.

I edited it!

Hey @skieurope‌, can you pin this? It’s still relevant, and it won’t be long before everyone’s asking when they’re going to hear from each school.

Done @stargirl3

@stargirl3‌ - Is your spreadsheet updated from last year’s notifications? Thanks for putting it together. All of the schools we applied to are on your list.

@heartburner I doubt many schools have changed. If someone gets notification of something new, they can update it. I didn’t put this together, all of CC did!

On the spreadsheet, it says that Andover’s decisions come on “the portal.” What is Andover’s portal?

@mathman1201 They’ll email you a link in the first week of March.

Okay, thanks.

Has anyone reading this opened an acceptance package before or know what’s inside? I think I heard a while back that Deerfield gives you green and white M&Ms with the Deerfield Door on it, and I’ve heard of other schools giving t-shirts, pens, stickers, etc. Does that kind of stuff really come in acceptance packages?

As I recall, the acceptance packages were all clearly acceptances-- some said “congratulations” on the outside, or were clearly stuffed with confetti or school pins or whatever. The Deerfield green m&ms (with the Deerfield door) actually arrived a day or 2 after the acceptance (which had a Deerfield pin and some other stuff). But the green m&ms were in a tiny plastic bag in a big (mostly empty) mailing tube-- kind of funny.

Random question: any idea why Andover pushed their deadline back to February 1?

They did that two years ago.

@mrnephew When I applied last year it was January 15.

Stargirl13, will you be all done by Feb 2nd? Or have you already submitted everything?? Feeling different about it than last year?

@britmom5 I’m done! I feel good. I feel like this could be it. Third time’s a charm, right?
