How should I prepare for Rutgers COllege?

I will be senior this september and I need to prepare.

Where do I get essay topics?
What are the things that I need to send them to Rutgers College?

RU APPLICATION DUE DATE : November 30ish

1) Application essay: Won't be posted until a later date in the school year.
2) SAT: Make sure you take your SAT and are relatively satisfied with your overall score.
3) 2-3 Letters of Recommendation: Find a faculty member, group advisor, etc. that will be happy to write one for you. Make sure you let them know ahead of time.

Just AIM me at DistantHorizon17 - I'll be glad to answer questions and just chat.

Ok, thats crap. The essay for Rutgers isn't even an essay, it's a personal statement, and it's optional. Also, Rutgers does not even read letters of recommendation, so don't even bother sending them.

Rutgers' application is really simple. No recommendations are needed, and the "essay" is more like a paragraph or two (and is completely optional, though you're better off doing it if you really want to get in).

Just so everyone remembers, next year is the first application that is for the merged School of Arts and Sciences. The app is going to be a little bit different, and the old rules may not still hold. Play it safe if you want to get in and don't screw yourself over by not writing the essay or sending in the recs if you have them anyway for other colleges.

That said, the essay and recs are going to remain not so important probably. I'm just warning this year's HS seniors that they shouldn't necessarily count on current RU students' advice so much.

it's stupid how they merged them all together.

How is it stupid? If you went to Rutgers, you'd see that there's no point at all in having the seperate colleges. It just makes high schoolers feel better that they got into Rutgers College, but in reality nothing about the colleges is really that different.
Also, in the long run, consolidating colleges will save money b/c you wont need as many personel. And saving money is pretty important nowadays.
