How should I read an SAT review book?

I bought the Barron 2400 booklet and I was wondering about a way to best absorb its info. I plan on trying to read most, if not all of the book, then taking several practice tests over the summer. But how should I do it? I plan to get it done by the end of June. So should I try to read a few chapters a day? I'm clueless...

What I thought helped me the best was the following:
first- take a practice test and score it, find out if you need to work more/less/equally on any of the sections
second- from what you know there, figure out how you will divide your time (as in, spend half of total study time on math, quarter writing, quarter reading or whatevs)
third- If they are long chapters, make due dates for yourself, like, in 2 weeks i will finish the math chapter or something
do that till you finish the book, and throughout that time keep taking practice tests (half the trick is getting used to SAT type questions)
Hope that works and good luck!
BTW, if Barrons ever gets annoying, i used this really cool book called "Up You Score: The Underground Guide to the SATs". It was literally the only book that could keep my attention, because it was funny all the time in a non-cheesy way. I HIGHLY recommend it!
