How should my interest in law shape my undergraduate experience?

Hey everyone. I’m entering undergrad this fall, and I have gotten a real interest in becoming a lawyer. I love helping people, history, government, teaching, and debate, and I realized being a lawyer sounds great to me. I really want going to law school to be an option for me when I graduate.

I just wanted to ask, is law school something that should affect how I approach my time in college? Or should I just go about my business doing what I want to do (get good grades, write for publications, be involved, make connections etc.), and look at my options as the end approaches?

No.

Just get good grades and recs. The other stuff is a nice-to-have.

Sweet. All I needed to know, although other opinions are always welcome.

Kill the LSAT

An interest in law school means that your #1 focus needs to be getting As.

Kill the LSAT, get good grades and recs. Pretty straightforward.

One last question, I can study whatever I want right? Just as long as the grades are good, the recs nice, and the LSAT killed?

yes, major in pretty much anything (other than basket-weaving).

I don’t know if I can make any promises. I do like a good weaved basket from time to time.

Sometimes being adult means making hard choices XD
