Is the GPA not as important when applying to MBA programs as opposed to law/med programs?

Depends on the MBA program. On the whole, your undergrad GPA is less important relative to the law and med school applications process as MBA programs tend to emphasize professional work experience and progress. However, with the GPAs at the top b-schools between 3.4-3.6, it's not like they're admitting complete morons.

Not to mention that people with the type of work experience that MBA programs seek tend to have done pretty well in UG to have attained those jobs in the first place.

3.4-3.6 is a good range.
