<p>So I've always heard that ucsc was the pot party school and it seemed as if there was pretty much no drug control. But recently reading through the college dorm rules it seems as if it is strict like we can't burn sage or incense and they don't count medical cards. So how strict is ucsc really? is it this strict or do people smoke in the dorms and stuff?</p>
<p>Depends on the administrators around and of your dorm building. Do people smoke in the dorms? Yeah, but they’re usually disrespectful morons who don’t get the hint given to them by everyone else in the building who tries to study with clean air.</p>
<p>Considering how UCSC is one of the nation’s largest campuses, there’s plenty of areas to smoke weed and do whatever the hell else tickles your fancy. You can even take your girlfriend into the woods and frolick, because it’s actually a forest out there.</p>
<p>But yeah, as long as you don’t do it in the face of the admins or authorities, no one really cares.</p>
<p>It’s not that strict. But if a CSO or CA sees you smoking, you’ll most likely get written up. Just make sure to not smoke in your room and be outside.</p>
<p>Just youtube “420 UCSC” and you’ll see how big the event is.</p>
