How Tall are You?

hard to say, haha. it isn't all tall people. I don't know. Now I sound crazy, haha. Some people are just physically intimidating. I guess it's just the one thing I can't control and it makes me feel vulnerable.
Being tiny isn't all bad, though, don't get me wrong :p

im 11 male and im 5 foot //:

...you're 11? what on earth are you doing on a message board for prospective college students?!

[side note: this kid is taller than I am. haha.]

I am 6'1", but I am hardly intimidating. I am kind of on the thin side (~155 pounds). No one's going to mistake me for a bodybuilder.

My teacher who is very short (4'10" w/heels!!!), told us a pretty funny story. She said that when she goes to see movies w/her husband, she holds his hand like she is his daughter and gets in for the child admission price. That is not a bad perk for short people!

Cmon Molly, dont you like SOME sense of comfort knowing a big(ger) guy's got your back to protect you? Also, as qwilde said before, Cute>>>>>Hot
I love cute girls.

80 lbs avg

Haha, Hep [mind if I call you Hep?], I'm not going to lie...pretending I'm a kid has definite perks. And, you know what? Kids clothes are cheaper. I can get the same sweater in a kids' size for $5-10 cheaper.
It's all about looking for the upside ;)

By the way, Hep...still intimidating. Haha. You've got more than a foot and about 60 pounds on me. That counts as physically imposing.

And Jpod, there's definitely something to be said for the image of the man as the protector. At the same time, I hate to force the female into the stereotypical role of the fragile woman in need of protecting. Tough call.
And, for the record, being cute is awesome. Being cute when you're trying to be serious is impossibly frustrating! People always tell me I'm a 40 year old woman stuck in a 10 year old's body, and it might just be true!
There's nothing more irritating than trying to have a debate with someone who laughs and says "aww, you're so little!"

Oh, no I didnt mean cute in the 'oh youre so little and cute like a little puppy' sense. It's just a certain look that some girls have. I'm sure youre one of them. It's a good thing in my book.

aww, well thanks for assuming :)
I guess I'm just a little bitter! Haha, it happened again just today.
To carry over from another thread (and take this even further off topic), it's hard being a smart girl, in general. Being a small, attractive (not to be vain), smart girl is difficult. You want to be appreciated as a female, but you want to be taken seriously as an intellectual.
I'll never win.

Of course you will. Dont worry about the 'haters' ;)

Come on, Molly. Not looking smart has some real benefits.

But yeah, I sometimes get annoyed with it too.

I won't pretend I don't love being smart, lablondie :)

I have the opposite problem. Since I'm in the "smart-class" at my high school, people assume I have no athletic ability. This is hardly the case. I love to play sports w/my friends and relatives, particularly baseball and football. I just don't participate in any organized sports b/c a lot of the athletes at my school are @$$holes.

I LOOOOOOOOOVE my sports :D

My best friend, the smartest girl I know, top of our class going to be val, is also all-state track and cross country, on the varsity soccer team all through high school, on the swim team for two years, varsity volleyball one year.
she's FREAKING AMAZING at everything. I love her

I'm stuck with both stigmas. Initially, when people meet me they assume I'm an athlete because of my appearance, but then as they gradually get to know me they assume I'm an athletically challenged nerd. In actuallity, I'm a kickass soccer player because I'm British and an intellectual...arguably.

"I love her"

Mollypockets do you play for the other team :) ?

Please, Please, Please....

haha, hellll no. Friend love, of course. I didn't even think that it might be interpreted that way :p
No, i was just emphasizing that I don't hate her for being so incredibly perfect.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! (Methinks the exclamation mark is redundant, but needed to demonstrate the level of the calamity)

But if she plays for the other team, you dont have a chance :D
