Advice? Commiserations? Feel like bragging?: GAAHHHH!!!! WTH!! I HATE WAITINGG!!!

I thought UCs don’t accept recommendations…

They don’t - this is his generic CC profile

Nobel Prize?

Oh! Looks like we found a culprit.

this is depressing…

Nobel Prize…

These admissions are random, im seriously starting to doubt they actually read these applications and just admit students based on solely race and sports.

In the past, people with crappy scores got in from my school. I don’t want to sound conceited, but I actually HELPED change my school. And I’m academically strong. I even went to COSMOS.

I seriously think they did a mistake.

**** happens.

You look like a pretty good applicant. I have no idea why they rejected you. You should appeal it.

What did you put as your intended major?

you might have lacked modesty. Arrogant pricks are no fun to have around.

^Are you seriously saying that to **** me off? Because its not funny.
I got WAITLISTED at Caltech, America’s #4 university. Alright? Its MILES better than Berkeley.
If I can get waitlisted there, then Berkeley should be a piece of cake.

@cavilier: How do I appeal? Is there a phn number i can use? I can’t find a darn email or a phone number on the website…

Also waitlisted; out of state applicant.

u really want to know why?

…you’re indian.

HAHA Caltech isn’t miles better than Berkeley. Stop being bitter, deal with it. You have other schools.

I don’t want to sound mean, but perhaps your character didn’t show through enough for them?

Also, by passed your ap tests, do you mean 5’s or 3’s

Well the reality is that Berkeley is not a piece of cake, especially the College of Engineering. Appeal your decision if you wish, but there’s no need to be so bitter about it to the extent that you belittle people’s acceptances. I’m sorry to hear about your decision because you look like a competitive candidate, but **** happens.

Hey I’m a Hindu from Idaho and I got accepted, so I don’t think race plays a large role. I’m sorry if the tone of that sentence was too strong but I have a Native American friend who is brilliant and talented and I hate it when people say he got in or was waitlisted at MIT at top universities just because of his race.

PS: I got into their college of engineering

**** happens. life doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to be. Also, UCLA is a great school to go for your undergrad education.
