I was thinking about the formula, do you suppose they gave double weight to years of service because they thought old timers were mature enough to handle the power? HA! :D

Thanks for giving me a light greenie, jym! You have powerful love & I am dazzled by the bling! I tried to rep you back but since I gave you some green yesterday, CC said I had to spread the love. I should be powered up by this evening to spread some rep around.

I have a lot to give, only did about 4-5 today. I don’t know what I’m worth, 2 or more anyhow :)

Taking reservations for my next shipment, arriving in about 2 hours. Thanks to those who repped me – if you do, please leave your name, especially if it’s a return favor.

Unless it’s a devious plot on your parts to frustrate this systems-thinker! ;)

OHMomof2, you should probably be worth 5 and that will grow fairly quickly as you acquire more green squares.

I know it’s far beyond the point of trying to preserve any kind of purity of this system, but I’ve decided not to leave my name when repping somebody, and to really to try to use most of my rep points for people who are posting good stuff.

I like using it for good posts, I’ve often wished for a FB “like” button on this board. But I also rep folks who rep me.

Based on the Vanderbilt-Ivies thread (that has degenerated into, IMO, one of the stupidest threads I’ve seen on CC in a long time), I think we need a special system for ranking B schools, the Bong-Bing-a-Bong-Bong Scale.

I don’t disagree with you philosophically, Hunt, but I have noticed that most posters are still not fully aware of how the point system works. If you leave points and a comment for someone who doesn’t know what it means and where to look your immediate efforts are wasted – by the time that person learns to log into his control panel, your comments will have left the screen, which only shows the last 5.

Secondly, there is a strong compounding effect of giving points to other active helpful point-aware posters: for every 100 rep points you earn, you get another one to give out permanently every time you donate. That quickly has a strong multiplier affect.

Oh, with a small reference to another thread, I posit there is no such thing as A system; we have thousands of small systems competing for the attention and prestige.

Purity HAS to be reserved for THE system, and that only can be the Prestigiosity Index.

YDS - catching up on this thread from way back and saw your post about the Dove of Peace - and burst into horrified laughter! I gave you points just for that.

Darn! Still not out of the box. Could we put in a request to be allowed to rep moooorrrrreeee???!!!

I’m right there with you dowzerw. Today’s the first day I’ve actually been noting when I’ve been able to access reps and how many so I’ll know tomorrow when to expect them. This obnoxious pop-up telling me I’ve been spreading too much love and need to cool-it feels very judgmental if you ask me. ;)

What the world needs now is love, sweet rep love…

I am keeping track too, blueiguana. Those judgmental boxes come up quick and let you know what’s up. But after seeing them a few thousand times, I need a new plan.

I now have my first light green square! Thanks for all the help and you all know who you are as I do since I’ve decided to keep track too by cutting and pasting the Reps received table into a spreadsheet.

Now if only they have the same table for who I have given reps along with a timestamp.

I don’t know about the world, but I’m getting within striking distance of another box and wouldn’t mind a little extra lovin’ from those not yet committed elsewhere.

Krlilies, you were ready for a repeat, so I just passed you my last mid-afternoon rep. Accepting reservations for the next batch.

I gave you some love yesterday Lorem @6pm so I will book you in my calendar (lol) for tomorrow.

Oh LI, pick me!! I’ll hit you back as soon as I can which you probably know better than I do!

Gosh Krlilies, you are doing well and fast.
A Player :)!

I actual tried you, Moreover, but you were too soon on the 20-cycle – you were 16 back as of my current count. Late tonight or mid-afternoon tomorrow.

Well thanks for the effort, I think I burned through all my friends in that late night Wednesday binge! Hopefully, I learned from it.
