It won’t let me plunk you with my magic twanger yet, neuroticparent. (Anyone who doesn’t remember Froggy the Gremlin from the Andy Devine Show will think the twanger reference is rude and socially inappropriate… so just in case… [Plunk Your Magic Twanger Froggy](http://www.plunkyourmagictwangerfroggy.com/) )

And if anyone has 12 squares, I am gonna PROTEST!! That, or get my vision checked. I think we only get 11 :)

Bookworm–it was difficult getting up at 0 dark thirty this morning to get DS2 to the bus on time, then took DS1 to an appt. I was staying up late and sleeping in so I was totally off my regular schedule. Sigh!

I gave where I could on this thread but mostly hearing I have to spread the love so I’m heading over to the other one to zap where I can.

Meant to say thanks too for the big boost LI. You pack a punch :)

Hope everyone had a good first “normal” day of the New Year. I’m dragging 'cause D was up all night with a nasty stomach bug and I played nurse so a little low on the sleep here.

Zetesis - long, long ago, in the days of your grand-applicant’s grand-applicants, even back to the Class of Two-Thousand-Ought-Ought, College Confidential had no green squares. Yes, indeed, those valiant posters wandered the wilderness never knowing who had a spectacular aura or a brilliant future, completely ignorant of the distinguished road to come.

Then, the moderators had a revelation: what if they could light the way? Why not provide a method for posters to come together and indicate love for the most respected among them? And so the green boxes were created. And they were left, gently, by the side of the postings, with nary a word.

Surely a number of members noticed this change. A few questions fluttered through each of many threads. Parents and students alike chose to ignore the strange boxes and oddly-illustrated “scales of smoke” - indeed, some were sore afraid, concerned that CC would devolve with this new development. The fate of the greenies hung in the balance.

Then it happened.

Lo, like a beacon into the wilderness, came jym626, the Empress of Green! She flicked her wand about her with kindness and humor, giving the green boxes their full complement of wonder and joy. With the brilliant analysis of LoremIpsum and Xiggi she was able to track the number of points bestowed and maximize the love spread within the thread. Following the wise counsel of Poetgrl, she remembered to save some green for those with few boxes every day. Many long hours of posting and trading allowed her to climb ever higher… becoming the first to reach the Summit of Green and blazing a path for the rest of us to follow.

Now there are many Disciples of Green. We follow the great jym and try to emulate her, spreading greenies to those in need and joy to those who read.

I was able to rep Jane345, Zetesis, coolweather, simplerules and sax. Now I’m out again. My list is about 5 days long and I’ve been adding low-squares, so some of you at the summit are getting every other round - sorry! Please give mine to those in need as well :D

I’ll try to rep who I can when I am reloaded, so please help by posting so I can easily find a post I haven’t yet repped. But I will have limited access to the computer Fri/Sat due to a death in the family.

Looks like I bumped mathmom over 2000. Other reps given out this evening did not yield such strategic successes, but I guess every 50 points count. ;)
