How to Apply Elementary Education as a Freshman

<p>Hello, All!</p>

<p>Visited Rutgers yesterday...loved it. For Elementary Education program, what major does D put on the application? Does she list a basic subject (English, History, Sciences, Math) and then apply for the grad school in soph year or is there a specific option on the application to list elementary education and math (for example)? I scoured the website and it is not plainly stated. Just takes you to the grad website and how to apply there in junior year.</p>

<p>Don't want to mess up the application! She doesn't want to give the impression that she wants to be a math major (for example). She wants to let Rutgers know that she would be attending for teaching.</p>

<p>She would just apply for the arts and sciences school! That’s what I currently am in- and am planning on taking psych courses/majoring in psych and then applying for the Graduate School of Education! There is no need to list elementary education anywhere on the application :)</p>
