I recently got into both of my top two schools - Rutgers (New Brunswick) and University of Delaware. I am from New Jersey and putting cost aside, am having a really difficult time picking which one I want to commit to. I have toured both campuses and while I liked how everything at UDel is a lot closer together, Rutgers is a lot closer travel-wise. I am really conflicted so the only thing that can really make the decision is the education program. I want to be an elementary ed major and these schools' education programs are so different. RU has the five year program, where I would major in english, then have to apply into the program and stay an extra year for grad school. UDel has an actual major for elementary ed. I was wondering if anyone had any general feedback about these schools or their education programs in particular. Thanks!

I do not know the schools. I am on the West Coast. It really doesn’t matter where you get your teaching credential, as long as you have one.
