I’m currently a high school student with a passion for writing. I’ve heard that being acknowledged by the Kelly House means a significant “hook” (more or less) during admissions for Penn. If so, how does one go about being recruited? I’ve found the page and looked at the info listed under “prospective students” but can’t find information on the process. The site states,“One of our top priorities at the Writers House is recruiting (yes, recruiting in the same way a basketball coach scouts out power forwards and shooting guards) talented, creative students.” I would love to use the resources provided for me if I were to be recruited, but I currently don’t really have the financial means to travel to the Uni to attend any of the workshops they provide, so that is not really a way for the house to notice me.
