how to become a bible-tooting, gun-loving, xenophobic homophobe!

it's a bit late, but what difference does it make? lol

http://www.thefrown.com/things/becomerepublican/

Looks like some democrats still haven't gotten over last year's Bush win!

Looks like they won't get over it for another 3 years . . .

yeah stop whining about republicans, and whine about republican party leadership. youve got a mccain republican right here.

I clicked on the link not expecting much since I'm kinda sick of politics following last year's election but... this is a very effective satire and frankly pretty hilarious. I wouldn't call myself a liberal but I find myself disagreeing with a good number of Bush's policies, some insanely absurd.

Like appointing former heads of energy/timber corporations to the EPA. Check out this satirical quote from the link: "Forests are much better off without trees, according to a new study by the best scientists in the Lumber Industry."

Like, yeah ... The Republicans so totally got over the Clinton landslide of 1996 that we got to know all about oral sex from the 6:30 news by the time we were 11 ... BTW, that cartoon rocks.

Oh the hypocrisy. Making fun of Christians is fun and intelligent political banter, but make fun of any other religion and its INSENSITIVE. OOOOH NOOOOO....

No need to sink to their level. Things like this should be avoided.

yss! let us revel in our ignorance!!! pagans have more fun...

"Like, yeah ... The Republicans so totally got over the Clinton landslide of 1996 that we got to know all about oral sex from the 6:30 news by the time we were 11 ... BTW, that cartoon rocks."

It was a sound defeat, but not a landslide. Look at the elections of 80,84, and 88 for landslide.

I agree 100% with everything on that website

Call me a bible toting, gun loving, xenophobic, homophobe. That would be accurate. To call the GOP a group of these is not accurate. Look at the leadership and the decisions of the government leaders. Take xenophobia (fear of strangers for those who don't know) - since we are making ALL efforts to completely LOCK UP the Mexican border and keep illegals out, I guess xenophobia is accurate. Wait.....temporary guest worker program ring a bell???
Okay take bible-toting. The Supreme Court is majority conservatives. They constantly make decisions that erode states rights and prayer in school, which through their decisions eroding states rights, erodes the right of a state to deal with religion as it would, provided it is Constitutional.
Gun loving...Brady Bill ring a bell???
Homophobe, being against the legalization of gay marriage does not necessarily insinuate fear or hatred.

"Homophobe, being against the legalization of gay marriage does not necessarily insinuate fear or hatred."

no of course not, neither does being against interracial marriage imply any hint of racism

Exactly
Racism means hatred of someone because of their race.
One could of course be against interracial marriage for many other reasons than mere hatred of a certain race.

"interracial marriage for many other reasons than mere hatred of a certain race."

hmm, are seeing a bit of the KKK emerging in a self described
"bible toting, gun loving, xenophobic, homophobe" republican

btw, I was being sarcastic.

its so predictable. southern (and increasingly nonsouthern) conservatives have been prohibited from blaming everything on the blacks so then they have to find some other group to blame. It used to be hippies, now its immigrants, gays and anyone else deemed in their mind "undesirable"

Note: these "undesirables" and the same logic were used by the Nazis and der Fuhrer, or should I say.... Der Dubya or Der Cheney(their immigration proposal is a copout to business groups who want to pay workers sweatshop wages, immigration is an easy and politically painless way for them to do so. Bush's proposal isnt about caring, its about a whole new batch of economically enslaved people)

It's called sarcasm, BCgoUSC...

Feel free to enlighten me about the other reasons people have towards their antipathy towards interracial marriage besides "mere hatred". Unless you mean discomfort...

By the way, before being so con-immigration, remember: No one is Native to America. The American Indians traveled from Asia many years ago, and everyone else is of another part of the world...

So were it not for immigration, then you would be in your ancestor's native country where it would not be hypocritical to complain about outsiders.

I started to type a response, but its not worth my time so I'll let yall stew in defeat and talk about how great a utopian world would be.

I was about to leave when I saw this moronic post. I never said I was against immigration. I am against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. There is a difference of course. I don't see how people just brush that aside.

"I started to type a response, but its not worth my time so I'll let yall stew in defeat and talk about how great a utopian world would be."

no need to, we are well on the way to becoming a christian version of Iran

"I was about to leave when I saw this moronic post"

no, actually if it werent for immigration your ancestors wouldnt have moved north out of africa where their skin lightened.
