I don't think I'd want a doctor whose main ECs in college were clubbing and partying. The thought kinda scares me.

""too intense and too interested in academics and nonpartying ECs to be of interest to you."
as i said, i know a bunch who enjoy partying and going to nightclubs"

Sure, Harvard students party and go to nightclubs. They even did that in my day. However, people who put partying close to the top of their must-have list when it comes to choosing a college aren't Harvard material.

This statement by the OP indicates that Harvard would not be a place where he'd be happy:
"so what abotu a person who enjoys partying and going out to night clubs as an extra curricular? are we just screwed? i really have no idea what extra curricular i would love so much as to spend 30 hours a week on it! i mean im trying, but i dont know if i can do something out of shear love for ti"

30 hours a week for one EC? I spend under 20 on my main EC....

hey I may enjoy doing all those things but that doesnt mean i have to do it. if need be id make myself miserable and make the second home the library and do research on some mudane subject if it would get me into harvard med. i mean if thats what it takes i think liking what im doing becomes immaterial

see, partying is hardly at the top of his/her list (i think its a her)

idealistically you should do some extracurricular out of the sheer love for it, but i doubt its necessary to get into harvard...
there are a lot of great extracurrics, once you get to college im sure youll find one that suits you

what leads you to believe im a girl? thats not true.

do you remember that aquafina commercial a few years back where the bottle was talking about how its pure water or something? anyway it was a girls voice and the camera was focusing on the nutrition information part, and the girls says "ok im not letting you look at my bottom anymore"

that was a great commercial
i just associate aquafina with girls

you know how so many ppl ( i must say, azns) dream harvard? me too. i dream harvard law school....yup. but now many ppl are saying that harvard's not as good anymore.. people would rather go to yale or brown. and the rumors are that many harvard students suffer depression...:(

haha I don't know how true that is. A lot of times, people bash the top. I don't know why, but they do.
