How to better my chances of getting accepted to Cornell

I want to go to Cornell school of Engineering, but in my sophomore year and freshman year, I did not take any AP or honors classes. I'll be taking a bunch junior and senior year, but my school only has one AP cs class. (JAVA) So, is there a way to show to colleges that I really like computer science, and do I still have a chance at Cornell if I didn't take those extra rigorous classes? (My GPA for sophomore year is around 96, my overall GPA (middle school+freshman year+sophomore year) is around a 92, which I expect to go up)

Let's say that my SAT score are around 750 per section, and for SAT II's I have 750-800

You can take classes online, start a club dealing with computers or something else along those lines. Middle school grades will not be looked at. Also know that ECs will be very important.

Well, I wasn’t involved in any clubs freshman year, but I was in Math team (and will be in it for all 3 years) NHS, and plan to be in the software engineering club and science olympiad at my school. I don’t think that’s enough, but there is really no other clubs I’m interested in. :(

Either start your own or get involved in things outside of school. Most people do lots of ECs outside of school including volunteering, youth groups and various community activities. The lack of ECs will hurt you. You have to understand that most people are qualified for top schools, what sets people apart are their ECs, essays and rank.

Do research…some of my friends worked with professors and were successful in competitions. I did physics research with various professors, i feel that is what got me in to Cornell

Research…I like the idea of that, but I don’t really know where/who to go to. I doubt my high school teachers do stuff like that, and I don’t know anybody else, so yeah…
